Sibu Active Youth Space (SAYS)

This project came about as a result of a need to provide proper amenities for the growing number of X-Games enthusiasts in Sarawak. SAYS is intended as a youth specific space, providing unique indoor and outdoor facilities  such as an international class skateboard/ BMX/ rollerblade Skatepark, Parkour/ Calisthenics park, Wall Climbing, a performance stage, tightrope walking, kiosks and E-Sports facilities with free internet access to connect the community and facilitate a healthy lifestyle in Sibu, Sarawak. The first phase of the development, the Skatepark, boasts the first skate ‘Kidney Bowl’ in Sarawak and a 100-meter long ‘Skate Street’, which is currently the longest in Malaysia. Designed with specifications to International X-Games standard, the 15 obstacles provided will cater all levels of expertise from beginner to expert.
